Is it the best way to add value to a business, or is it just a gimmick? This is a question I’m often asked, and the answer is not clear cut. So how do you decide whether to sign in sheet PDF to your accounting software?
Sign in sheets are there for a reason, and they can be very useful. But I also think that the use of PDF files on your system can be harmful to your business. PDF files are much harder to read, even for those that have an extremely strong eye for it.
Why is this? If you haven’t purchased the most up to date version of Adobe Acrobat, you will find that it’s not very easy to make out what it is you’re seeing. While you can buy a printer for this purpose, I believe that you’ll be better off investing in a more modern piece of software. Many people have spent the money now, and find that signing in sheet PDFs to their accounting software are no longer a problem.
So I had been looking for a good alternative for a while but hadn’t found one yet, until I came across a website that specialises in computerised design, and graphics. They provide bespoke web based design services, and one of their services is the creation of a sign in sheet PDF files.
They could custom design one for you, and then have them produced by our ab server, which should be accessible on any computers running an ab version of the Acrobat reader. The only problem I faced was whether it would be worth spending the time to try and find someone who could do it.
It seemed that to find someone who could do it for you, you would need to search through thousands of companies and try and find someone with your type of company’s name. Also, I hadn’treally found anyone who was particularly professional when it came to designing the sign in sheet PDF files.
Then it occurred to me that I could find someone that way, because I could go to a digital photo site and search for someone who’d done this kind of work before. In fact, that would probably be the easiest way for me to find someone that was experienced at making these types of files, and I couldn’t imagine that any customer would be disappointed with the end result.
So you can see why I prefer to use a software tool such as Acrobat to get my documents printed, because it’s so easy to create a PDF file from a document, and if you get a professional to do it for you, the end result will be worth the extra cost. I would certainly recommend this method for making the sign in sheet PDF files on your accounting software.
